Our Impact

Team development through purposeful, sustainable, social impact projects worldwide

IMPACT TO DATE: 70,000+ PARTICIPANTS | 500+ PROJECTS | 38 COUNTRIES | £20m VALUE

Our experiential learning and development programmes involve sustainable, social impact projects for communities across the globe.

We work closely with our charity partners so we understand the challenges they face, designing the most innovative solutions with maximum impact.

Pictured: We designed and facilitated a technical, large-scale veterans’ community garden project, with a team of eight project facilitators teaching a group of around 20 volunteers a day to do the building work, over seven days.

UN Sustainable Development Goals

All of our projects directly support the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), tackling global challenges, community by community.

Our projects benefit charities or not-for-profit organisations, including schools, all working to support people in need, including vulnerable women and girls, adults and children with physical or learning disabilities and economically deprived communities.

In building the infrastructure for them with their bare hands, our volunteer participants experience sustainable development first-hand.

So, not only do Splash Projects create a physical legacy for years to come, but an invisible legacy too; participants go on to spread the word about sustainability, social impact and Corporate Social Responsibility throughout their professional and personal lives.

Good Health & Wellbeing (SDG 3)

All our projects promote healthy lifestyles and improve mental and physical wellbeing; they include growing and sensory gardens, play and rehabilitation equipment, and seating areas fostering social cohesion.

Example: we worked with 50 participants from Avolon and Cebu Pacific Airlines who built a playground and refurbished a kitchen for the City Gates Academy, which provides educational programmes to children in economically deprived communities across the Philippines.

Quality Education (SDG 4)

The majority of our projects include growing garden elements, helping to educate people about food provenance, teaching them life skills including how to grow fruit and vegetables, promoting sustainability.

Many of our projects involve educational elements including physical and cognitive development equipment and outdoor classrooms which enhance learning opportunities. These builds are particularly beneficial to support those with additional needs.

Example: as part of their commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, over two days, Bank ABC employees made much-needed improvements to a children’s adventure playground in north London.

Water Sanitation (SDG 6)

Access to clean water and sanitation is a basic human right, but in 2022, 2.2 billion people lacked access to safe drinking water.

We returned to Zambia in 2024 to construct a borehole in a rural community and part-fund a truck that is being used by an NGO in the creation of more boreholes across the region. We returned in 2025 for the launch of our Splash Ambassadors programme and created another borehole and 20 keyhole gardens alongside the community for which they were for.

Example: we launched Splash Zambia in a commitment to supporting SDG 6.

Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10)

Inequality threatens long-term social and economic development.

Our projects are often for charities which support people who face inequalities due to their circumstances, including at-risk women and girls, people with learning disabilities and children from economically deprived backgrounds.

Example: we worked with a team from Boston Consulting Group – Milan, whose project supported vulnerable teenage girls in the city, making them bedroom furniture and creating items for their inside and outside communal areas.

Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17)

All our projects support SDG 17. Just as the SDGs rely on partnerships between the private sector, civil society and governments, Splash Projects wouldn’t exist without the commitment and compassion of our business and business school partners.

Example: in one day, a team of 100 BAE Systems Digital Intelligence employees created a series of fully inclusive facilities at Woodrow High House, a residential centre in Buckinghamshire providing outdoor learning activities and sports facilities for London Youth.
