It didn’t take us long to find willing participants to take on one of our client’s charity challenges.
Four of our Project Facilitators – Lloyd Comer, Kenny Turk, Steve Hall and Josh Poole – are all highly experienced when it comes to teamwork and pushing limits, so they jumped at the chance to take on this year’s Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge 2026.
The event involves nine hours of mountainbiking, hiking and kayaking a self-navigated route across the Peak District in aid of SSAFA Southwest, the Armed Forces charity, a cause close to our hearts, with many of our staff being ex-military.
Now in its tenth year, the challenge has raised £2.8m for charities across the UK.
Samworth Brothers and CSR
As part of the food manufacturer’s commitment to supporting the communities where it works, 130 of its employees took part in a large scale Splash Project in June last year which the company dubbed their ‘2025 Big Build’.
Through their Splash Project, over four days, Samworth Brothers’ colleagues built a fully accessible growing garden at Leicester’s Eyres Monsell Community Centre, which hosts a variety of social activities and events for people of all ages.
