Yes, participants take their Splash Project seriously – they know that their efforts are for such an important cause – but they’re also seriously fun!
For a number of years now, as part of the firm’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, UK financial services firm, St. James’s Place Wealth Management, has been offering its employees the opportunity to take part in a Splash Project for two main reasons:
SJP leaders know that bonds are strengthened when people work together to achieve a common goal.
Throw meaning, and enjoyment, into the mix and these bonds are strengthened even more.
Case in point is the company’s Splash Project this autumn in which 50 employees based in and around Bristol put their hands up to take part in building a range of new equipment at the Big Hideout play area in Hartcliffe.
The facility is run by charity, Learning Partnership West, which supports children and young people between the ages of 6-25 to overcome barriers to engagement and education and develop their resilience and capabilities.
Thanks to the efforts of the SJP volunteers, the children now have a trampoline, a nest swing complex, sensory path activity stations and a ‘little hideout’ play hut, so they can have even more fun, boosting their wellbeing.
