Incentivising collaboration

Amplifon | Ringwood Area Lions Aged Care

October 2025

There are many things which incentivise good collaboration – a deadline, a prize, or kudos, for example. But there is no more effective incentive than purpose.

Purpose is the most effective incentive for collaboration.

We gave a team of 50 staff from hearing healthcare company Amplifon two days (25 each day) to create a garden for Ringwood Area Lions Aged Care residential centre in east Melbourne.

We gave them the plans, the tools and the guidance – also the purpose; the garden would improve the quality of life for the many elderly residents living there.

The aim of the project was to create connections and empower collaboration across the company’s three back-office teams – Amplifon, Attune and Bay Audio.

Over the two days their collaboration skills were put to the test with the teams rising to the challenge and successfully building a range of equipment including, outdoor seating, outdoor games and garden growing facilities in a (purposefully) tight timeframe.
