Boston Consulting Group – Milan undertook another Splash Project as part of the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility.
They chose to support Case Di Nazareth, a residential centre providing support for vulnerable teenage girls in Milan, and representatives visited the charity with us to find out exactly what would enhance the lives of these young women the most.
After the visit, the BCG Milan team was keen to make improvements to the girls’ bedrooms as well as to their inside and outside communal areas.
Off the back of this three-way consultation, we designed them a series of wall units, storage seats and bedside tables for their bedrooms, two make-up stations for the atrium, and for the outside space, picnic benches and planters.
We were thrown a curve ball the morning before the project when we received news that we needed to add one more set of bedroom furniture to the mix, using the existing timber!
The evening before was the planning exercise with the team at their city base during which we handed them the reins.
On project day, the girls had a great time painting their new furniture, and they were delighted to receive their make-up gift boxes from the BCG Milan team!
This wonderful one-day project was facilitated by our Projects Director Steve Hughes and our Project Facilitators, Daz and Tony – the three of them have a combined 117 years of military service between them.
Facilities are sparse at the home, so this project will make a huge difference to them.
