Splash Projects delivers bespoke, experiential team building challenges and leadership learning programmes to develop individuals and teams through impactful, life-changing community projects across the UK, Europe and worldwide.
Our clients are businesses and business schools and we partner with charities, communities and the public sector to deliver projects that they could never afford themselves, including playgrounds for deprived children, wheelchair courses for people with disabilities or gardens for terminally ill patients or senior citizens.
We bridge the gap between the business world and not-for-profit organisations or charities, giving businesses the opportunity to fulfil their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) ambitions and to put Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) at the forefront of their agendas, and allowing business school students the chance to experience social impact first-hand.
All are designed bespoke to our clients’ and charity partners’ specific objectives.
Together, we create a tangible impact, leaving a lasting legacy for communities.
Ultimately, we leave a better footprint on the world.
Since Splash Projects was formed, we have worked with more than 65,000 participants from some of the world’s leading companies and business schools, including Santander, BAE Systems, Bank of America, Heineken, INSEAD: The Business School for the World and Imperial Business School, London.
Leveraging our unique project delivery model, participants are invited to strategise, plan and execute in unfamiliar environments offering a spectrum of challenges and development opportunities for postgraduates, new employees and senior-level managers alike.
We collaborate with learning experts from the world’s most prominent institutions to design and deliver team building and leadership development programmes, the impact of which far surpasses the average volunteer day or fundraising event.
Splash Projects was founded by company directors Simon and Rachel Poole in 2000, starting out life as Splash Editorial. By 2005 we became Splash Projects, with Simon – a former Royal Engineer with 23 years’ service – running our first projects in Japan, France and China.
Our leadership team consists of former Armed Forces personnel, who have led relief projects and corporate development programmes around the globe, as well as specialist trade professionals and learning & development coaches.
The team has vast experience delivering leadership training in a range of environments. Their field of expertise ranges from command and leadership and general construction engineering to infrastructure support in austere environments.
Making a difference to people and communities.
We feel strongly about leaving a better footprint on the world and, working with clients, we change people’s lives for the better, realise their potential and dreams, and make a lasting difference to communities.
Supported by a team of specialist facilitators and film makers, we can be found with our clients building roof-top gardens for the terminally ill in Madrid, adventure playgrounds in London, classrooms in China or delivering water points in Zambia.
Health & Safety is paramount to Splash Projects. We have years of experience running projects, including in remote and hostile environments, and ensure our knowledge and policies are up to date.
We provide all necessary PPE for projects including gloves, goggles, masks and ear protection. At the beginning of each project day, our Splash team gives a Health & Safety brief to all participants including an overview of the tools that will be used during the day.
After each project is successfully delivered, our Splash team checks the whole project site to ensure the build is completed to a high-quality finish and conforms to British Standards. We also conduct a project sign-off and maintenance procedure with our community partners.
Our Splash Projects teams ensure safety procedures are always followed and adhere to both British Standards and Local Authority guidelines and procedures. We always provide all necessary Risk Assessments, Method Statements and relevant Health & Safety documentation.
We ran projects in the UK and Europe throughout the Covid-19 pandemic and we keep up to date with all the latest regulations.
