Over three days 255 Masters in Management students at Imperial Business School replaced an entire mountain bike course for a city youth charity.
Their Splash Project is benefiting young people being supported by London Youth at Woodrow High House, the charity’s residential centre in Buckinghamshire. Woodrow gives young people aged 8-18 from London a place to build confidence, try new things and overcome challenges through outdoor activities and safe connections.
For the Imperial students, the project was a masterclass in working as a high-performance team, developing skills such as agility, time management, communication and handling VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, ambiguity).
Their project challenged them to apply practical, analytical and problem-solving skills in a real-life situation and to develop their individual self-confidence, all while leaving a lasting legacy for others and living the Imperial values.
