World Bicycle Day 2020

Many of you will have been enjoying riding your bikes over the last few months and we are no different – we are massive bike fans!

Today, Wednesday 3rd June 2020, is World Bicycle Day and this month is Bike Month, so Splash Projects are delighted to bring you a post all about bikes.

This very beautiful and innovative wooden bicycle frame kit was designed and built by Toby Rix (Splash’s Business Manager) as part of his first class Honours degree from Brunel University.

At Splash, we have been promoting bicycles through our projects for many years.  Not only are they great fun, but of course they promote health and confidence through physical activity, are super economical and cause virtually no environmental damage.  In short, they are a sustainable wonder and totally aligned to our core values.

Below you will find a selection of  our favourite bicycle-themed Splash Projects from the last few years.  Each project was completed as part of a learning & development programme – thus benefitting both the participants as well as a wonderful charity, leaving a truly lasting legacy.  What a win:win.

And, finally, if you are also a keen cyclist and would like to hear about a Splash cycling event that we are planning for 2021, please Contact Us.
