Shaun Parkin

Programme Facilitator

Shaun is a former Royal Marine Physical Training Instructor, specialising in Adventure Training and Rugby coaching. He still gets out on the water and into the mountains as often as possible and still puts his boots on for a run out with the RM Vets team and Combined Services Barbarians.

On leaving the Corps Shaun attended Plymouth University and went into teaching PE, firstly at East Devon College and then at Exeter College, until taking early retirement in 2017.

Over the last 5 years he has travelled around Europe in a Campervan – living the dream. During time off from travelling Shaun has worked on The National Citizens Service (NCS) as a Course Manager, responsible for 120 16-18 year olds and a staff of 20. NCS courses involved a 4 week course of outdoor activities, life skills and charity work in the local community.

As a teacher Shaun always got students involved in fundraising for local and national charities. He is also currently a Trustee for his families charity – The Adam Stansfield Foundation.
