Splash Community Projects - Leadership Development

To maximise the impact of Splash’s Team and Leadership Challenges, and help translate learnings back into the office, Splash Projects offers Academic Experts and Coaches.

During a Splash projects, our Academic Experts and Coaches observe the participants as they work through their challenge.  Then, on completion, each the Academic Experts and Coaches will work (either one-to-one or with small teams of participants) to assist with specific further development.

The skills that are covered could include:

  • Governance / Leadership
  • Project management
  • Resourcing
  • Planning
  • Fundraising & Purchasing
  • Communications
  • Problem solving
  • Collaboration
  • Design and Innovation.

Whilst including Academic Experts and Coaches on your project does come at an additional cost, the benefits of including them can really help the individuals get the most from their project.  Individuals have demonstrated improved work performance, more effective communication and increased self confidence and companies have reported that they more than recouped their investment.

We also work with Academic Experts from select partner organisations and world-leading business schools, such INSEAD, Cedep, IE Business School, Chinese University of Hong Kong, TIAS, etc.

Business students face tough lessons about teamwork in building challenge to help children with disabilities

Students from a top international business school are about to learn about leadership and teamwork by getting their hands dirty on a building project to benefit children with disabilities. Some 300 MBA students from INSEAD will have just four days this week (13–16 January) to build a wheelchair-friendly nature trail for the Institut Médico-Educatif’s base at Clairefontaine.
