This November, Splash Projects will be working with the Chinese University of Hong Kong to provide a study trip to Zambia for their MBA students.
On the 26 November, CUHK’s MBA students will be flying from Hong Kong to Lusaka in Zambia for the beginning of their trip.
The study trip will be focusing on the development of local communities out in Zambia and the students will be tasked to develop a sustainable business model that links clean water, to vitamin enhanced agriculture in a way that is self-sustaining for rural farmers.
The students will see first-hand the complexity of rural areas in developing countries and the impact of Chinese investments in local infrastructure.
During the Zambia study trip, students will be completing a Splash Project and working with Village Water Zambia to manually bore water holes for a rural community. This will introduce new clean water to the locals and will provide a starting block for the development of the area.
As well as helping to manually bore water holes for the community, students will be helping to build latrines. This will help to drastically improve the community’s hygiene and sanitation.
It won’t be all work on this study trip, students will be experiencing a WILD SAFARI when they visit the Kafue National Park in Zambia!
We wish the students good luck for the trip and hope they have a life-changing experience!
