Pete Boorn joined the Police service 14 years ago and has spent the last 9 years as a Police Sergeant working in Devon.  He has served in a number of areas within the Police service including Response and the Criminal Investigation Dept.  He has managed and led his teams through periods of unprecedented change.

Prior to joining the Police he served for 22 years in the Royal Marines retiring as a Warrant Officer.  During this time he saw active service in the Falklands and also Northern Ireland.  He was awarded a mention in Dispatches for his part in the attack on Mt Harriet.

He served in Latvia for over a year in the 1995 leading a team of Royal Marines with responsibility for training officers from the Baltic State nations prior to their acceptance into NATO.  He has also served at the Britannia Royal Naval College as part of the leadership department.

His hobbies include Cycling, Hill Walking and gardening.  He has recently completed the John O’Groats to Lands End cycle ride.

He has 2 daughters and one Granddaughter.
