Gavin joined The Bank of Scotland direct from school and for almost 20 years worked in various finance related roles in banking, shipping and telecommunications. In 2001 he decided that enough was enough and it was time for a complete change.
After some re-training he ended up working in a secondary school mentoring teenage boys with behavioural and emotional problems. Then in 2006 a job opportunity for his wife led to a move overseas. Firstly, to Japan, where Gavin spent 2 years teaching conversational English in a Japanese electronics factory and then 3 years in Hong Kong where he worked as a volunteer for a charity.
The last 3 years have been spent in Singapore bringing up his two young sons as a “stay at home dad”.See all Splash Team
