Chris has organised and managed more than 40 Splash Projects all around the world, including three INSEAD MBA programmes in France and Singapore.
He began his career in the British forces, reaching the rank of Captain in a career spanning 27 years; the majority with 59 Commando Royal Engineers and the Military Defence Diving School. He has delivered training and leadership courses in many of the world’s most inhospitable habitats.
On leaving the military he set up his own business in woodland management, employing traditional methods of extraction using horses, alongside running an organic flock of Exmoor Horn sheep.
Chris is an expert telemark skier and cold-weather survival expert. His specialisms include training analysis, course design, quality control, task planning and effective construction, Health & Safety including risk assessment, team building, leadership and motivational techniques. He is also an HSE Commercial Construction Diving Instructor, Demolition Safety Officer, Boat Safety Officer, mine location and clearance expert, qualified blacksmith, mountain bike and map reading instructor. In his spare time Chris is a RFU Rugby coach.
