Alan Griffin Splash Projects team

Alan left the British Army in 2008 after more than 22 years service as a Royal Engineer. He was a member of the specialist 59 Independent Commando Squadron. During this time he worked all over the world, often in adversity, planning, organising and implementing construction tasks. He was also involved in projects ranging from humanitarian aid in Africa to the rebuilding of Iraq.

As a senior instructor at the Royal School of Military Engineering, he was responsible for assessing training needs, job analysis, instructional design and evaluation. He has graduateship awards in both Leadership and Management and Construction Engineering.

He is a qualified Electrician, has a Construction Site Manager’s certificate as well as the HSE First Aid at Work & Exploration Medicine accreditation.

Griff is a keen sportsman who is a RFU junior coach and holds a RYA Level 2 Powerboat qualification. In his spare time he enjoys all aspects of sport and has a passion for telemark skiing.
