Project Director – Full Time
Reports to: Managing Director (MD)
Direct reports: 0 + contractor team
Location: SW England (Devon).  Extensive international travel.
Position available: Feb 2011
Salary: On request

Objective of role: Project manage, coordinate, lead and deliver charity-based executive development projects worldwide.  A key ‘on the ground’ delivery role that is essential in supporting company growth.

Key accountabilities:
• To evaluate individual project needs in terms of
materials, resourcing and project management in line
with client budget and H&S needs
• To research and source appropriate charities at
desired project locations ; ‘pre-project surveys’
• To initially support MD with project design &
eventually become autonomous
• To research, source and lead a team of contractors
prior to, during and post project delivery
• To complete all project admin, to include verification of
supplier invoices , feedback forms etc
• Full responsibility for Splash Project materials
(including tools and uniforms) during project life span:
checking before departure, loading/unloading,
maintenance etc
•To facilitate participant planning sessions and debriefs
according to each projects’ objectives
• To liaise effectively with MD and International
Business Director to ensure all client needs are met

Key Competencies and skills required:
• Experience in physical international relief projects
•Strong intercultural awareness and ability to work in developing countries
•Produce project survey reports and project plans
• Excellent project management skills involving large teams of participants
• Preferably ex military
• A hard worker with high resilience
• Flexible, to work to tight deadlines and prepared to travel
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and diplomacy skills
• Fully certified in construction, health and safety and risk assessment
• Able public speaker, confident with PowerPoint
• Fully literate in Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office

A background and passion for training and development or teaching would be advantageous, as would experience in project drawing packages and First Aid qualifications.
