Sperian Build Children’s New Playground

Splash Projects and the Global Executive Leadership team of Sperian International designed and built a much needed children’s’ playground at the Children’s Inn at NIH in Washington DC.

This is the thank you letter we received from the Inn’s Director of Volunteers and Community Outreach the following week:

“The playground looks so nice and we couldn’t be happier on how it turned out. The best part was working with Billy and the guys. They were very professional, organized and kept everybody on task. Their quick wit and humor along with their charming British accents made the 90 degree days much more enjoyable. I was so sad to see them leave. You did a great job selecting them to work on our project.

When I went to leave work tonight, a grandmother stopped me and told me her son just came back from playing on the playground and they had so much fun. They ate pretend ice cream in the ice cream shop and had soda together. This was the same little boy that waited all day to get a chance to play on it. She told me he was in his 5th week of chemo and the playground was the highlight of his day. She asked me to tell the nice men that built it thank you. I had a tough time holding back tears. Earlier in the day, an Amish family came out and played. One of the little boys came up to Billy and I and said “Thank you for building the playground”. I think that Billy even had a tear in his eye (although he wouldn’t admit it). Just warms your heart.

This playground wouldn’t have been possible without your support and commitment to our families. I wanted you to know how grateful we are to you and everyone at Splash Projects”.
